The Mission

Trinity Presbyterian Church exists to glorify God by making mature disciples of Jesus Christ. Our mission is rooted in the calling to generously love and serve God, one another, and our neighbors in Cleveland and around the world.

"...the thing that reassured us we were in the right place was the preaching of the Word.  The sermons are true to God’s Word and feed us spiritually.  This is not just a church to go to once a week; it’s a community of believers where we’re spiritually fed and can reach out and serve others."

Following the Way

As we live out this mission, we are committed to nurturing spiritual growth, fostering deep relationships, and extending God’s love to all.

Vision

Our vision extends beyond our walls; it aims to impact our local community and the world by making disciples who are equipped to live out their faith with purpose and passion.

One Family's Story

Our family moved to Cleveland in 2011, and we have been members of Trinity since that time. We have lived apart from our families for the entirety of our marriage and have looked to the church as our family, depending on those relationships for strength and encouragement. We lived in different cities prior to our arrival at Trinity and were relieved to finally find a church that was able to love us in this way. The relationships we developed during the earliest years have matured and flourished and fill up nearly every part of our lives. We are blessed to be able to share our lives with our best friends in this world and we pray for this for everyone at Trinity, especially as we see the world around us falling into loneliness and despair. We love coming to worship and be together with the body of Christ at Trinity and ache for more people in Cleveland to have a chance to participate in this beautiful expression of the body of Christ.

We have found Trinity to be a place of great love and encouragement, where the ladies pour themselves into the lives of the youth girls, where fathers invest in the lives of the boys of the church, where the older generations are honored and cherished, where children are welcomed into the body, where families purposefully intertwine their lives with each other and where children grow up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord together.

We have been blessed beyond measure by the small groups, where a rich development of deep, close bonds continues as we share our lives and our struggles as we study God’s Word together. We share our joys and sorrows, our hopes and fears, our desires and our laments with dear friends who love us and are loved by us. Loving each other and doing the long work of discipleship is a privilege and heavy responsibility that many families gladly undertake together.

It has been a source of encouragement over the years to observe how people pull together when a need is recognized. Small things like helping replace supports for an outdoor shed, larger things like cleaning out houses to make them ready for moving in. Helping care for the elderly when family members are out of town or providing company for people who have a hard time leaving their house. The active care demonstrated in the church is heartwarming and beautiful to see.

Serving the families in the church through the years as we worship together, study God’s word together, serve the many needs of the church together, has been a beautiful thing to be a part of. It has been such a blessing to see the church grow and experience the richness of so many new relationships as people seek to grow in grace together. It is a particularly special blessing to hear people say they are warmly welcomed; they are loved well, and they have found a place of faithfulness after many years of searching. The vitality of the body is beautiful, and the diversity of gifts God has brought together is beautiful to see.
